Where Is the Ideal Flex Series Hospital Indemnity Plan Approved?

Map showing U.S. states where Ideal Flex Series Hospital Indemnity is approved and pending readiness to sell, with Brokers Fidelity and American Home Life branding.

The Ideal Flex Series from American Home Life Insurance Company continues to gain traction as one of the most agent-friendly hospital indemnity plans in the senior market. With its modern design, optional riders, and flexible enrollment methods, it’s quickly becoming a top recommendation for agents working in the Medicare space.

But as with all products, state approval and availability matter — and that’s where we’re seeing major progress.

Approved and Ready-to-Sell States

As of 7/18/2025, the Ideal Flex Series is fully approved and ready to sell in the following 10 states:

  • Texas (TX)

  • Wyoming (WY)

  • North Dakota (ND)

  • Wisconsin (WI)

  • Kentucky (KY)

  • Tennessee (TN)

  • Mississippi (MS)

  • Alabama (AL)

  • Georgia (GA)

  • Florida (FL)

If you're appointed in any of these states, you can begin writing business immediately. The enrollment tools, rate sheets, and marketing materials are live and available to all appointed agents.

Tip: These states represent some of the highest Medicare Advantage penetration in the country — making them ideal for a well-designed hospital indemnity product like Ideal Flex.

Approved But Pending Ready-to-Sell (RTS) States

The following states are approved but pending carrier activation, with RTS expected shortly. Agents in these states can begin contracting now and will be notified as soon as the platform goes live.

  • Nevada (NV)

  • Utah (UT)

  • Arizona (AZ)

  • Montana (MT)

  • Colorado (CO)

  • Nebraska (NE)

  • Kansas (KS)

  • Oklahoma (OK)

  • Missouri (MO)

  • Iowa (IA)

  • Arkansas (AR)

  • Louisiana (LA)

  • Illinois (IL)

  • Indiana (IN)

  • Michigan (MI)

  • Ohio (OH)

  • West Virginia (WV)

  • Pennsylvania (PA)

  • Virginia (VA)

  • North Carolina (NC)

  • South Carolina (SC)

With this wave of approvals, Ideal Flex is well on its way to becoming a nationwide product. Brokers Fidelity is working closely with American Home Life to bring each state online in real time.

Why This Matters for Agents

Every new state approval means more opportunity to help clients — and earn additional revenue in the process.

The Ideal Flex Series:

  • Complements Medicare Advantage and Med Supp plans

  • Offers a 72.5% street-level contract

  • Includes 5 core benefits and 10 optional riders

  • Allows enrollment via text or voice signature

  • Pays direct benefits to the insured

It’s a must-have in today’s market, especially in states with limited supplemental benefits or higher copays.

Want to Start Selling?

Whether you're in a ready-to-sell state or preparing for launch in a pending state, we recommend getting contracted now so you're ready when approvals go live.

An updated state availability map is included below. Check back regularly as this list will continue to expand.
